Just sent off the auto - email application, don't know when they'll get back to me. Quiet cul-de-sac location, no neighbour opposition, no foreseeable problems at all with the exception i'm expecting the costs that involve the lowering of seven kerbstones in total may total a bill at far more than i'm willing to pay : ( Has anyone here [ in the UK please ] applied to get kerbs lowered outside their property? and kindly give advise as to what actually happens and how much it's likely to cost?

I'm finding changing pages on the forum on my iPad a bit sticky. Pages freeze or need double tapped to change. All this since maintenance on Wednesday. Other sites are fine. Anyone else? G

I have just ordered the new iPhone 7. I usually upgrade every 3 years. Could not be bothered with the 5 sibblings or 6. I was going to buy a new one anyway as my iPhone 5 screen decided to detach itself from its main body. Nothing major has caught my attention apart from the now defunct headphones socket. I have never been a fan of their phones so won't miss a thing and hardly listen to phones on the go. I'm sure in in years to come they'll get rid of those prongs hanging down from your...

The Millennium vote could reach 25% of the vote, record setting numbers. Mr. Trump, and Bernie has started a movement, which has ignited the younger generation. A generation that has completed 5 years of college, with an student loan the size of Home Mortgage, and no resume, a generation that has no awareness of COLA, a generation who has been told, Social Security is a thing of the past, a generation that is forced to invest in a Market built on pillars of Sand. New Hampshire, and Iowa are...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-37505131 OK, I get his point. But maybe if these were shown on TV, at cinemas, on the big screens in football grounds, baseball stadiums and The Olympics, put out on the electronic billboards in Times Sq, Piccadilly Circus and whatever all the the Russian equivalents are, then public opinion could be motivated enough and accurately directed sufficiently at pushing their leaders to actually stop this right now. Perhaps?

Europe as got of to the worst possible start in the Ryder Cup 4-0 down after the foursomes, unless they pick up at least 3 points this afternoon I think the U.S.A are going to take it off our hands for the first time in 6 years.

This may or may not be news but I saw a post from Neat Acoustics that Doug Graham is joining them. I found Doug both knowledgeable and likeable whenever he visited NZ for roadshows and had some good conversations about music with him over the years. I would assume he as been brought on board to improve Neat's global distribution, which has always been a little light.

Hello all, I am looking to create a wifi access point via a wired connection back to the main router. Can anyone recommend a simple way of doing this. I have an old TP Link wifi range extender that I thought could do it but I can't get the thing to work. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Matthew

Here's a drummer with some finely tuned percussive pieces. I wonder how one goes about shopping for or assembling such a drum set.

How much of the words in your head are expressed? This begs the question... is it mostly thinking instead of communication?

I am thinking of changing my car strategy from buying a old banger and running it into the ground to getting a brand new one and changing it every 3 years when the warranty runs out. As this is new territory for me (I don't have any form of credit - not even a mortgage), I'd be interested in any advice on how to finance it. PCP and PCH seem the main options given I don't care about "owning" and will never wish to keep the car after 3 years. This move has been largely prompted by my state...

It's hardly unexpected, but Jeremy has been re-elected with a larger mandate than last year. At a time when the country is about to embark on Brexit, which will affect the country for years to come, an effective opposition is critical, yet for the past year Labour has been looking inwards and fighting amongst themselves, rather than pulling together and doing what it's supposed to be doing. This can go one of two ways; MPs rally behind the leader with a massive mandate from the membership,...

It is a worry when one considers Moores Law and committed companies competing with eager staff on the Asperger Spectrum drinking Red Bull. What do you think?

looking back 30 years on the surface it would appear that hifi hasn't changed much, hifi is still in big boxes and with big knobs. Under the surface of course much has changed with evolution and revolutions in technology. But where in the next 30 years will hifi take us ? My rough guess is that big expensive hifi will get even bigger and more expensive, but the consumer electronics will see the first change. What with all in one discrete systems being presently popular, I can see some...
