Has anyone used powerline on this ...
... to stream to my Panasonic TV please. The TV is internet enabled. I've connected direct to the router to get Viera Connect - but there's very little of interest for me there (at least until they include catch-up TV services like the BBC...

Hi there,Can anyone recommend a cheap..ish 32" telly which will play low def stuff reasonably well. Prefer the plasma picture but the minimum size of 42" is just too big for my living room. Watch old movies, sport and news. I get the impression that...
Hi all, My nVi has just returned from a servicing and an update from the Naim factory. The display is much brighter and I also noticed that I could name the sources as opposed to having them being Digital 1, Digital 2 and so on. That is brilliant, but now the nVi won't lock on to any digital signal!!! What does the forum advise me to do? The local retailer was just my go-between and simply charged the £20 return postage, but I have paid the servicing work done, the receipt tells me it was...
Hi, was wondering if you could help me with a problem. I have a 202/200 combo and was wanting to connect it to my Sony AV Receiver. So I've connected the 2 phono leads from the Sony to the RCA Aux 2 inputs on the 202 (having already setup the Aux 2 for...
Now I know its a Naim site but I was just over visiting the 'new' Linn website and in November this year Linn are launching DSM products which contain HDMI inputs and outputs. It appears to be a solution to allow connection of PS3, Blu-ray and Sat the...
Has anyone gone down this route? I ask as I was filing my latest DVD & BluRays yesterday I realised that just keeping on top of what I've got is getting increasingly difficult! I confess that on a couple of occasions I have repurchased films I already have. I got ride of my disc boxes a few years ago, as they were eating up a LARGE amount of space. I have ripped a few rarer DVDs and stream them via a uPNP server. When I looked at doing this as a proper...
Hi all, I have a problem with my AV2: I just plug my nap175 who was under repair at naim. Since then, I hear a white noise coming from my front speakers, the sound is very strong. The problem disappears when I move in "direct mode", but all other...
Hi folks I've an Arcam BDP100 on home trial at the moment. I've hooked-up a HDMI lead to the TV and am currently drawing the sound from the TV via optical cable to my UQ. I would like to have the sound run directly from the BDP100 to...
Hi, I'm toying with the idea of getting an AV2, but I need to know whether it can be used without a centre channel speaker, ie can you specify no centre channel and have it automatically mix the centre channel information into the front left & right...
Dear members, Been a long time since I've posted anything over here and part of that was because I was satisfied with my home theater. I still needed two surround speakers to complete my setup but those were going to be my graduation gift to...
So the question is this. I have an AV receiver, PS3 and bluray player all in the home theater. All of them have ethernet ports but I just have one Cat5 50m cable coming from my router in the ground floor into the home theater 2 floors above. What is...
Would these two play well together, or are there better Pre-amp options out there your prefer? I want to integrate as gracefully as possible with my NAC 112 / NAP 150 etc., with the idea that the stereo kit will be upgraded over time. ...
My Virgin Media TIVO remote has the option to control AV equipment. To make things simple as i use my Naim kit for TV sound, i'd like to get the remote to control the volume on my XS amp. Every other manufacturer is listed apart from Naim so before i...
Wishing Naim all the future success and goals that the Naim team aim for with the merger. Congrats. Good luck with the SuperUniti looks an excellent product for modern times that I will definitely look at on my next visit to the UK. As Naim...
Hi all, Over the past few weeks, the display on my nVi has got fainter and fainter and now I cannot get any display at all. Not only this, but locking on to the signal hardly ever occurs and I now don't know which setting the nVi is on to...
I am using an nvi + NAP 200 + Harbeth HL-P3ES, principally for (i) playing DVDs (through old Panasonic 22" LCD TV) and (ii) streaming audio via a Sonos ZP90. This year will see a TV upgrade to something bigger and better, with lots of bells and...

One for sale over on the Bay. According to the seller, it's a one-off factory special, comes with serial no etc, so seems valid with the 2nd box housing the PS ala NAP 300 style. Must have been an out-of-hours project?
I'm looking to hook up a 5.1 Bluray to my AV2 using RCA to the 4 pin DIN inputs and am little bit confused by the manual. V1 in multiple (versatile) mode on one page says it inputs front L-R and surround L-R. V2 in multiple (versatile)...
Is the n-Cent good enough to show the benefit of powering it from the NAP 145 mono amp as opposed to the centre channel of the NAP 175 or is the 145 aimed at the bigger centre channel speaker like the Axess/Axent? Cheers, Rack.
