This applies both to accessing the work directly and to playlists. Hi All, All my cd's are ripped to flac via DBPA to a qnap nas drive serving a Naim NDX. I have a couple of albums where the artwork has disappeared from the albums overview on the Naim app (the artwork is there when I open the actual album to play it). I have done the usual edit IDTag in DB (where it shows the artwork). I have removed the artwork and then re-installed it all to no avail. I have also done the "clear cache" and rescanned the qnap hard drive. Has anyone got any thoughts on what...

Hi there .... this is my first posting ever since I bought both Muso and Uniti Atom. Am very satisfied so far. However I ran into problems after upgrading all my Apple computers and devices to the latest OS. When using ITunes on my Mac computer, the system can detect all my network speakers and list them all. I can multi room music to the Muso and others without problem except the Uniti Atom. It says error in connection and to check the network but as far as I know all setttings are working.

Dear Forum members I use the Naim app on my i-phone with both my main system and a Qb. On the main system there are some handy + and - 'buttons' which means that I can set the volume fairly accurately. However, with the Qb there is only an annoying slider which means that setting the volume is extremely hit or miss. Not a massive issue I guess, but does anyone know if you can change the slider to the buttons as I've searched through the settings and can't find anything. Thanks for any help. ...

Hi guys What are people's thoughts on the now previous generation streamers. NDX/NDS. As we are all aware and have been for some time if something happened with Tidal would that be the end of Hi definition integration within the units or would Naim try and support another provider?

Atom on the way (mail order, no dealers within 200 miles). Forgive me, I have sinned: I do not want to use Naim's supplied speaker plugs. Many reviewers say they just used bananas instead. Question: I would expect the speaker outputs to accept British BFA bananas, not standard US bananas. I want to prepare speaker cables before Atom arrives. Can someone enlighten me as to what banana style the Atom accepts? Many thanks.

Earlier this year an update to the Qobuz app on iOS resulted in a problem whereby a track would restart after playing for 2-3 secs. As I have a few iOS devices I could confirm that this was unique to the new app, but they don;t seem to have fixed it despite telling me a fix was in the works. I accidentally updated the Qobuz app on my iPhone X the other day when updating apps on my Apple Watch....grrrrrr....so now my main phone cannot play audio without these restarts. hello friends, after updating the app and the firmware to 4.6 i'm not being able to identify the UQ anymore. it's not appearing on the list of streamers on the app home page and the app can not find the "rooms" as well. also the UQ can not connect to net through the ethernet cable or the wifi anymore. any suggestions? I already reboot everything and also reboot the UQ to factory settings, nothing is successful unfortunately. thanks eli

i have now resolved this, but maybe of benefit to others if they come across it. Discovered when playing some 16/44 files purchased from Qobuz that they would not play on my NDX2. They played on old NDX, home PC and other devices. Copied them onto a USB drive and they played fine on the NDX2, but not from Synology NAS. This morning I converted the original AIFF files to FLAC and these played ok. Then reconverted back to AIFF and they played ok. Bizarre.

Hi there, I currently own an NDX+XPS. I haven't seen and wonder if anyone has directly compared an NDX+XPS with a NDX 2+XPS? I understand the differences with respect to improvements in file resolutions and native support for Roon but I'm interested in the sound differences / comparisons between the two. Not the built in chromcast but casting from a phone or tablet. Google have gone out of their way to ensure chromcast won't work natively on an iPAD, even from Chrome and a downloaded youtube app though it has the chromcast symbol and it appers to cast when you select it while playing something no sound came from the system though it stopped coming out of the tablet. It is Uniti Serve which does not support playback of dsf files, so you need a different UPnP server, such as Asset. My NDX is running 4.6 firmware and has been fine until now. Suddenly showed "Fault 36 on 22" and the front buttons don;t do anything. Still plays through the Naim app. Tried reinstalling 4.6 which went ok but not resolved the fault. Tried turniong on / off, waiting 10 mins etc. Still showing the fault. Any clues please? Philip

Today I ripped three CDS and in each case my UnitiCore did not automatically eject the CD when finished . I checked the ripping monitor in the app and saw it was finished waited awhile then manually ejected the CD. I rebooted the UnitiCore ( by pulling the power cord) to see if that would fix it . It did not . Is there any setting That could change this features out will automatically elect when done ripping , or is my UnitiCore have an issue that has to be sent in to be fixed? My Uniti Core has issues ripping discs from multi-disc box sets. The first disc in the set rips and then the second rip erases the first. To be clear, this doesn't occur will, but many multi-disc releases. Creating a playlist, editing meta deta, nothing has worked. Any suggestions welcome?

I am trying to add some stations. The naim app does not offer search. So I was trying to use the vTuner pages. It asks me to login in order to add stations, but I dont have a login and it offers no facility for signing up, the help page for login hilariously states I should use my registered email to login. Wow super help. Can someone tell me how I get a vTuner account so I can add radio stations to iradio?

I have recently purchased a Unity Atom. I am re-thinking my server software/hardware. I have a Sonic Transporter (I5) and it is currently running Roon. I am "interested" in moving to the Unity Core. I have been testing other UPnP sever software and I find them mostly slow or unreliable. I really would like to just use the NAIM app and be done with other software. Roon is really great but it adds complexity. What are folks thoughts on the sound quality from the CORE vs other servers? How does...

A firmware update has become available today for the ND555. It is a fully automated process, just press update on the app and it updates without a hitch. Most notably the issue with the display buttons brightness and standby mode affecting the Naim logo has been fixed along with one or two other issues.

Ok I am trying out Qobuz as there is a 3 month free trial of sublime + doing the rounds. But I can't get gapless to work using anything. It's driving me nuts listening to Suedes new album as its end to end music. Ive tried bubbleupnserver with bubbleupnp app and kazoo app but still no gapless. Upnp in the windows Windows app is so flakey it's laughable and Chromecast doesnt work much better. So has anybody got upnp gapless working outide off naims own app which wont work to get Qobuz...

Hi, I am planning to get hold of a nDac to taste what R2R and possibly NDS and N555 taste like. In my current system 272/xps/200, I presume I should put the xps and all my digital input into ndac? I am wondering if there is a way to conti .nue to select the input of nDac with the naim app similar to what I am.currently doing with n272? Thanks

In the past I had reported some problems while streaming long tracks from Qobuz using the upmpdcli renderer. Every now and then, replay would suddently jump to the next track. I discovered that this problem mainly affected certain albums, e.g., Mahler's 5th by Adam Fischer. Most albums would replay flawlessly for many hours. A multiroom issue has been reported to Naim Audio with the recently released streamer firmware version (3.0.1).The issue occurs when Mu-so or an original Uniti or Streamer product is the multiroom master and a new Streamer (ND555, NDX2, ND5XS) is the client. When streaming music in this configuration the sound is muted on the streamer client. Hi my ND555 will be arriving soon .......... currently I use my NDS 'commando' via the NDS handset......... can I operate the ND555 in a similar way.... or will I have to operate it using the Naim app and wi fi. Currently my room - is a little bit of a wi fi black spot - so I would need to move my wi fi router to gain a half decent signal. I will eventually fix the wi fi issue ........
