So trying to leave my Nova on 24/7 for some quicker fuse burn in as realised standby is probably barely trickle. Anyway I tried just playing and setting a Tidal playlist to repeat, but unsure why after a few hours the Nova has powered down. Anyway decided to change standby to "Never", frustrating you cannot leave the display on clock (Or display off as mentioned would be), after a short while it defaults to the home screen - so I'm worried about screen burn. Interestingly after 15-20 mins...

talk of cables got me thinking about the links from nova back to the bt socket so I thought I’d try this From eBay: ‘This is Genuine BT CW 1724 CAT5e cable as you can see in the second photo Solid Copper Core BT Twisted 2 Pair Cable.’ £7 and an improvement over the bundled flat cable between home hub and wall socket listening to radio paradise and it’s just a tad nicer. Did s speed test and getting 54m download speed...

I am using BNC to connect my Core to my Dac. There are times that the L and R channel are swapped when the Core is resumed from standby. To put the Core back to normal, I need to press the power button on the Core to turn the device OFF, and then wait for a few seconds to turn it ON again. It happened 7 to 8 times since I purchased the unit 2, 3 months ago. Wonder if any Core user encountered the same problem. Is it a software bug or hardware issue ?

Occasionally, when the Core is resumed from standby, it won't play music at all. The app still functions to browse the music database and select albums and songs normally. The Core just doesn't play the music (by pressing the Play button in the App) I select. To put the Core back to normal, I need to press the power button on the Core to turn the device OFF, and then wait for a few seconds to turn it ON again. It happened more than a dozen times since I purchased the unit 2, 3 months ago.

Hi! Huh...strange thing happened yesterday... I was listening to music from my new NAS through the Core and I had the impression, that it sounded much better than the same music from the disk inside the Core (SSD)... Have to check this out further when I am back home on Sunday...but did anyone with a Core experience the same?

Is it possible to remove the Tidal and Spotify buttons off the app home screen as I don't use them ?

So, like others on these forums, my display has developed a fault - less than 9 months after my warranty has run out and i've been told its going to cost roughly half the value of my unit to replace it. I bought a Naim product because I placed trust in the engineering. So is it poor engineering, because someone missed out 'robustness' from the requirements specification, or good engineering because it's failed just outside the warranty period? Either way, I consider it poor quality - with...

My Naim Uniti Core is only 4-5 weeks old and I woke up to an error message in my DAC that meant the digital connection between it and the Naim was invalid. I’ve proven the DAC is not at fault by connecting it to my CD player. The DAC plays music through the Coax connection and it’s optical connection when connected to my CD player which has both those outputs. But the error message persists via the Coax connection when connected to the DAC. The way it looks after troubleshooting is either...

I have been using Uniti1 and a NAP200. I went to the dealer and was going to audition a 272 since I really wanted to upgrade the Source to play Tidal (which mine cant) I may as well upgrade the PreAmp and Source. Well, turns out 272 is out of stock and the dealer seems not enthusiastic it will be available...... I'm thinking, shall I try to get hold of a 82 PreAmp from the second hand market and think of another source? So what is the opinion on Uniti to 82 to 200? Or a NDac to 82 to 200 or...

For those interested in a S/PDIF source for their Naim DACs and streamers, Allo has just announced a "Signature" version of their DigiOne transport. It looks like an interesting device with film capacitors and ultra low jitter clocks. First user reports can be found on the CA forum.

Hi Guys, I was flicking through my music today on my NAS looking for a missing album when I came across some files which were ripped in 2013 in Compressed FLAC (5). At that time I was just getting into streaming and it was recommended I ripped to Flac in compressed number five. I think from memory dB Poweramp’s default setting was in fact (5), so my question is, was it a compromise ripping CD’s this way or doesn’t it matter as the file will still sound as good as an uncompressed FLAC ? I’m...

My Atom is connected wired to my router and I'm using an iphone connected wirless to the same router, on the iphone I've installed the naim app and spotify. Now I'm testing spotify connect to the atom. It works well most of the time but sometimes, when I manually change song on spotify, tha atom remains mute: I see the new song cover on the display, I see the song time going on on the phone but not on the atom, it remains mute and the time do not progress. To make it work I must slide a...

Hello All, I have just joined the forum and have ordered my first two Naim products...one being a Uniti Nova for the main listening room and the other is a Muso Qb for the kitchen which I am hoping will be installed next week along with a pair of Kudos X2's (very wife friendly floorstander's & sound fantastic). To act as a music server and CD ripper I have also ordered a Innuos ZenMini Mk.3 (but I may upgrade this to a full Zen Mk.3) but I have been told that these are not going to be...

hello everybody, id like to buy a nac 272 and the nap 250dr but as you know the 272is not room ready and im a big fun of roon. Maybe a solution could be use it as dac with sonos or allo digi player connected. What do you think about it? Should i prefer the internal streamer to have the best sound quality? (Maybe im thinking that SN2 plus ND5 xs2 is a better solution for my wish to use roon) tks for your help!

Hi all, after a recent PC disaster (fried motherboard) I had to resort to a laptop (not new but newer than the departed PC) onto which I installed dab poweramp and set the naming convention as previously, namely \\[album artist]\[album]\[frack]-[title]. I ripped a copy of Nick Drake's Bryter Later and the artist folder is where I would expect it, alphabetical order on the QNAP nas. However, when I open the artist folder to access the album, it says 'Nick Drake', not Bryter Later although the...

Agghhh this buggy/rubbish software is driving me mad now! Listening to tracks using Tidal, with multiroom running a Muso in the kitchen. Almost every track the Nova goes silent but I can hear the Muso continuing .... pausing and unpausing seems to get the Nova working again... but seriously, at what stage do I return it and go buy a Devialet or something!?

I have a Qnap NAS, some of my music was ripped using dbpoweramp with a script that ensured album tags were in place. For some reason when I updated power amp I lost this script. Does anyone have an example of this type of script? If not how can I edit the tags on my Mac, and is there an app for editing tags on an iPad? thanks for any suggestions. steve

Hello, I am having a problem with a playlist that I have compiled on the Naim app. Over the months I've added my favourite tracks as a sort of go-to folder that I use when I'm not sure what I want to listen to (one of the joys of streaming). Recently, about 90% of the tracks (there are probably about 200 in the playlist) are showing a blue exclamation mark with the note that they can't be found. I only have one server (a QNAP NAS) so it can't be that otherwise I wouldn't be able to play any...

It was always possible to move the playbacked songs (fast) forth and back with your fingertips. Now this feature has been removed. Why?
