Hello, Can anyone tell me the best way to connect a Uniti Nova and Core via Ethernet connection? Let me expand, is it better from SQ to connect both inpendantly direct to router or connect both to switch, which then has single connection to router. Current connection is via switch and router. Has anyone noticed a difference or it makes none at all. If connected direct to router would I lose any functionality, to Uniti Star that connects via wi-fi to Core. I would try this myself, however...

Apologies Newbie with Core, and I'm assuming there must be a way.... does anyone know how to find out how much internal space is remaining on the disc? I've tried browsing network but properties returns 0 bytes to both the downloads and music folders.... I can't find any settings / info on the app or support pages either Core with 4tb Seagate Win 10 PC

i have tried everything,( factory reset, reinstal app, but still keeps shutting off after 10-30 min, runing latest SW. its on wifi ( not cable) wifi from timecapsule 4 meters away 5Ghz. im getting craaazy hoejfed.

After the update a few months ago my NDS went months without dropping a single song. I thought my problems were over; well they are back. It’s so frustrating. I use Tidal. Does not seem to occur on internet radio. Anyone else experiencing similar dropping with Tidal the last couple of days?

I just switched to Tidal from Spotify, great times. I am finding the built in Naim app quite clunky, the menu likes to stop working at random intervals and it's generally a pain. Is there a way to play tidal through the atom using the native Tidal android app, thus bypassing the naim app completely. With spotify connect i used to simply select the atom as a playback device and never had to use the Naim app. Any help would be appreciated, it seems this should be very easy to do and im hoping...

Hi all I’m having problems with my app, it is not finding my rooms (both iPhone 7 and iPad current generation). When I scan my network there does not seem to be a problem with the three Apple WiFi stations and the internet works on both appliances. Is any one else having such problems? Thanks in anticipation

Hi all, I currently use my Core via ethernet to a switch and then to 272 etc,. I am interested to know if there are any forum members who are using a DAC between their Core & 272/streamer, hence avoiding the ethernet and switch scenario. My thoughts were along the lines of Ndac or Hugo TT (ideally pre-loved) plus of course the relevant cables. I will have no problem in arranging a home demo, but wanted to get some insight as to whether or not it's worth investigating further. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, I'm ripping more than 1200 CD using my Uniti Star and I have, more or less, another 1 TB of HiRes and 44.1/16 materials. So, at the end I will have 30.000-35.000 songs in my HDD connected via USB at the Star, using Naim server. Is it too much? Otherwise, I have to move to a NAS running asset or minimserver? Now I'm trying also this way, but the metadata are read in different way compared with the Naim Server (the metadata modified during the ripping are not showed in the right way).

Is there any way to search by individual songs in the Naim app? What I am trying to accomplish, is finding the same piece as recorded by various classical guitarists - so I would be able to enter "Granada" or "Fugue in A minor" as a contains clause and see all the various versions on my server.

Having recently tried out the Uniti Core and not being 100% convinced by its performance I am now looking into replacing my 6 year old Synology DS212j NAS with a more up to date one, possibly the QNAP HS251+ silent version. Why on earth doesn't the Naim audio application run in XOS; it is incredibly inconvenient having to find the iPad or use the iPhone in place of the desktop; I often end up using iTunes in preference to Core, which is ridiculous... does anyone know whether Naim is working on a port to XOS? Hello I have read the info about the pluses and minus' of Hi Res (the resampling, the 48Khz thing, the remastering issues, analog, etc). The reason I ask this, is while I eagerly wait the arrival of the NDX 2, I am using a BlueSound network player. It pulls the music from my Qnap NAS, without using a music server. I am in the process of re ripping all my CDs, and noticed that the BlueSound app, (which is actually very good ) would not display, a couple of albums correctly, or play them. If I'm streaming from Tidal with the Naim App in 'List' mode when it moves onto the next track it will play about one second of that track and then go back to the previous track for one second, then back to the next track for one second and so on. Just read the review of the NDX2 in this months Hifi News... good write up which gave it a score of 85% (so very good). There was a comment of how the NDX2 performs vs the NDS...
