Hi My ND5xs has performed faultlessly since 2011 and all firmware upgrades have successfully been applied over the various years. Since installing the latest version (4.6), the streamer has started to have a "mind of its own". When switching to other inputs (usually from iRadio), the unit automatically reverts to UPnP and starts playing random tracks from the QNAP NAS (Minimserver)! Seems odd! I noticed on the Nova, some times whilst playing music the Sound all of a sudden goes bad in a sence its sounds very dull ans laidback. But after a minute or so it pops of normal again. Anyone here has this issue also?

I really love the Core, but besides CDs, I have tons of single tracks, carefully curated in playlists. In iTunes and Pioneer Rekordbox. As a DJ you don't sort your stuff by "Albums"m but by playlists. I am talking about nearly 20.000 tracks in at least AIFF. So as a real music server the Core has to be able to import music with/by a playlist. And it would be nice to have in the app a "Track View" and not just Albums or Artists. The new apartment I bought last year came with a free router, a trusty old Linksys WRT54GL. Yesterday, while investigating my Tidal problems, I found the router still had the original (2006) firmware. After I upgraded to the latest firmware, Tidal is now working much better, if still slow / glitchy. Wondering if a new router might offer further improvement? Well the MuSo QB does not digitize its analog input, so "Multi-Room" is not available for this input. This contradicts the concept of "Uniti" and NAIM should change that in the future.

Hi, Having read several positive posts about the Cisco 2960 Catalyst and seeing one for sale (s/h) I decided to give it a go. Until now my configuration was Netgear Readynas and ND5SX both ethernet wired into router. Everything working fine. Some time ago I also tried inserting a switch GS105, as a connection point btw NAS, player and router. Hi All, This is getting rather silly. My Naim core does not go in standby mode.it stays on full power.meaning the logo is lit and the front buttons. So far I tried on the app every time setting. from none to never. So far I tried Router reset, factory reset, full reset with the powercord out. All to no avail. When I press the power button on the app it goes on stand by. but when a time is set no way.Nova works fine Helpie ( which is Dutch for some help needed.)

Guys, Has anyone else been experiencing Tidal instability, this last week? I had no problem for the past year but since 29th April, I have not been able to listen to a complete track. I Know of one more Naim owner experincing this behaviour (He has updated to 4.6, I have not). Have there been more incidents? Frustrated. Lack of a decent manual doesn't help - the app Help indicates: If server mode is turned off, less power will be consumed in standby mode, but you won't be able to use the product as a music server. Why if this option was off then do I actually see local USB content under Servers? I actualy want to, but assumed not enabling Server mode simply prevented the Atom/Nova from broadcasting as a server to the network at all. Perhaps it only means it shuts Server mode down when in standby?
