Apple have finally released new core firmware and app unfortunately i am in Innsbruck, so wont be able to try this until sunday

Got my new Atom, anyone know how I turn off the internal power amp? On my Unitiqute 2 there was a setting to turn speakers to none. I cant see an equivalent setting on the Atom

I thought some nDAC users might like to plugging and old iPhone into a USB port on an nDAC to listen to Radio Paradise. Their app has a really handy cache feature. This permits complete control from the Naim remote supplied with the nDAC. Press ‘8’ to skip a track if you wish. Press ‘9’ to pause the stream. One can of course use the live stream but the music may be interrupted sometimes if you press 8 to skip.... HTH S

I have attached a DAC V1 to a Mac Air on OS X Sierra using USB. When I configure Audiovana to send DSD directly to the Dac V1 all I hear is hissing with the music very faint in the background. If I use PCM I hear the music fine. To my knowledge the V1 firmware is up to date at V16. Hi all, bit of advice needed (IT novice). I have my NAS drive directly connected to my router (SKY) which in turn connects to an RJ45 socket in a bedroom. This is then connected by CAT 6 cable to another RJ 45 socket in the lounge behind the hi fi. A short length of Chord C Stream then connects from this to my NDX. Do I actually need a switch and if so, why and where would i put it ? Many thanks John

I have recently installed a QNAP TS251-A NAS initially for backup purposes but now wish to use it as a music server as I want to move my UnitiServe on. I am using a NDS streamer by the way. Hi All, UnitiServe users in particular. For better or worse, I have obtained an ex-demo, 2016, 2TB UnitiServe, which appears pristine. Followed the manual to set it up and everything appeared to behave exactly as expected; I found the Naim demo files, the disk contained no other files, the download folder was empty. Hello all New to the world of Naim and streaming. Learning fast ( -ish). My set up is: CDs ripped on a MacBook Pro using dBpoweramp; music stored on a Synology 214j; MinimServer on NAS; MiniServer on MacBook as well ; ethernet connection to a NAIM Atom controlled by their app. Finally got it working with advice from the MinimServer forum. I've been ripping loads of CDs but I've found that some aren't showing on MinimServer/ Naim app. The really odd thing is that I'm missing all the albums...

anyone know if core is going to get the "rip to flac/wav *and* to MP3 for easy use in the car" feature that we have on unitiserve/HDX? Its not been mentioned recently.

I have just fitted a couple of 4gb usb sticks into the front USB port of the core. I configured them as music stores to be able to rip cd's to them. All good. used the core to rip the cd's to the USB sticks in Wav format. No problem. if I leave the USB stick in the core, and use the atom to play music held on the stick inserted in the core, no problems. now. i remove the usb stick and inset it into the atom and try playing music from the USB port on the atom and the system says there is no...

How to delete some albums loaded on my Core by my Naim dealer, prior to delivery? As I didn’t rip them from CDs, can’t see them on Networked Device on my Mac, can’t find any reference to Remove on the Naim app. Please, can someone help?

I'm shortly due to have my Core installed as a replacement for the HDX as the prospect of a solid state drive and updated software appealed and cost to change wasn't that great. I'm curious if there are any viewpoints from existing Core users re. switching to the new platform / hardware ... my dealer has been hanging on for months until the Mac OS issues have been resolved. Core will be feeding NDAC/555DR btw.

My 5 year old Unitiserve is not connected to a NAS , and there is no backup of any kind for my 600 + ripped CDs. Last week the Unitiserve disappeared from my network. I tried to turn it off by holding my finger on the Naim logo, but it did not flash off and on as it was meant to, prior to powering off. What is the best way to connect my Melco N1A to my Naim streamer NAC N272? If I connect my Melco directly to the 272 and put network setting in Melco to "the direct"connection" methode (which sounds better than the "network connection" methode) it is impossible to use Tidal and to use the Naim application on my Ipad because there is no connection anymore between the network and the 272........
