What is the latest music you downloaded, what resolution and from where?
Posted by: Stevee_S on 13 January 2014
With more music being downloaded I thought it might be interesting to see what forum members are buying and from where.
The news that HD Tracks are soon to open an online UK store means that more choice is going to be available to us. The variety and quality of downloadable music we can choose from is expanding, MP3 to 24bit studio Masters at 192kHz and beyond.
So what are you buying and downloading?

Diamond Version - EP 1-5
http://mute.com/artists/diamond-version
From bleep.com format was 24/44.1 WAV which i converted to 24/44.1 FLAC using (dbpoweramp) after sorting out the non existent metadata. The mastering of these EPs is astonishing.
From Juno.

Hi Bert,
Sorry, I meant did you have any problems with the metadata on the download from Qobuz? Of course, you could have been streaming..........
I've had a few issues on classical albums downloaded from there where the metadata was missing and the files were also not editable via mp3tag or dBPoweramp.
Regards,
Vlad

Hi Vlad,
Never had those type of issues with downloads from Qobuz. Of course I mostly don't use completely there information. But the adaptations are limited and can be easily done in MP3 tag.

Shearwater - The Sky Is A Blank Screen
Live album taken mostly from the tour supporting the Jet Plane and Oxbow album. Terrific power but subtlety too. Excellent recording.
Great versions of the studio tracks but standouts for the ever-wonderful Backchannels and Radio Silence. Also you get their Bowie cover: Scary Monsters and Bauhaus: Kick In The Eye.
Great stuff - on Bandcamp: https://shearwater.bandcamp.co...ky-is-a-blank-screen
