What is the latest music you downloaded, what resolution and from where?

With more music being downloaded I thought it might be interesting to see what forum members are buying and from where.

The news that HD Tracks are soon to open an online UK store means that more choice is going to be available to us. The variety and quality of downloadable music we can choose from is expanding, MP3 to 24bit studio Masters at 192kHz and beyond.

So what are you buying and downloading?

China Crisis - Flaunt the imperfection on vinyl. Not listened to this in ages, forgot how good it is. Produced by the sadly missed Walter Becker.

Sorry, the above post should have been in the "What are you listening to ..." thread.

Chunky,

China Crisis - Flaunt the imperfection. Thanks for the reminder of this album, I'd forgotten about it. I had it on vine an age ago - just picked up a 2nd hand copy off Music Magpie.

A really unexpectedly good album.

Coming home a couple of night's ago in the car, Radio 6 had an extended interview with Noel, during which he explained the rationale behind this album, together with some "Live Lounge" sessions ................ which decided me to get hold of the album right away.

Curious, isn't it, that, moving on from Noel and Liam's well documented falling out, that they should each produce the best albums so far in their chosen solo careers?

Interesting - thanks for the info Dave.

I’ve not heard it yet and will hopefully give it a first listen tomorrow via iPod (I know!) while headlong into a house renovation a DIY day (lucky me!).

Certainly enjoyed both of Noel Gallagher’s first albums, so this was a must for me. I heard him interviewed on Front Row this week talking about the creative process - using the studio environment to actually create the songs as opposed to writing independently and then recording. Eagerly anticipating giving it  listen tomorrow as I’ve liked everything I’ve heard so far.

Not heard Liam’s album as yet, but will give it a whirl at some point.

I really enjoyed the first couple of Oasis albums, but the quality certainly tailed off, although “Don’t Believe The Truth” was rather good. Great that they are pushing their own creative barriers.
