What is the latest music you downloaded, what resolution and from where?

Posted by: Stevee_S on 13 January 2014

With more music being downloaded I thought it might be interesting to see what forum members are buying and from where.

The news that HD Tracks are soon to open an online UK store means that more choice is going to be available to us. The variety and quality of downloadable music we can choose from is expanding, MP3 to 24bit studio Masters at 192kHz and beyond.

So what are you buying and downloading?

They also have live recordings of Dizzy Gillespie, Monk and Evans which I find very interesting. All in high-res. Probably will download one of two tomorrow.

What's it like, Edward? I have the vinyl on pre-order, which should have arrived today (I haven't been to my delivery point today). How does it compare to the original? I'm a bit concerned that there may have been a knob twiddle too many given who was responsible for the remaster.

As Marillion were probably the worst band ever, the remaster is going to have to be revolutionary.

No, no no, Nigel. We know that accolade is reserved for the Smiths!

All Marmite stuff really - I thoroughly enjoyed much of the Fish era stuff but most of the modern Marillion bores me to tears, though earlier efforts weren't as bad.
