What is the latest music you downloaded, what resolution and from where?

Posted by: Stevee_S on 13 January 2014

With more music being downloaded I thought it might be interesting to see what forum members are buying and from where.

The news that HD Tracks are soon to open an online UK store means that more choice is going to be available to us. The variety and quality of downloadable music we can choose from is expanding, MP3 to 24bit studio Masters at 192kHz and beyond.

So what are you buying and downloading?

"... here he dives head first into this most enduring and beloved form of electronica [Berlin School] with a stunning collection of pieces built around the characteristic pulsating sequencers, lush Mellotron-inspired pads, authentically retro-sounding leads and of course flashes of that familiar Silas guitar. What impresses the most here - as it does with all Silas releases - is the breadth of the material on offer. One might expect that, having chosen to focus on one sub-set of electronic music, Silas would have restricted his sonic palette, narrowed his vision, but not a bit of it. This is no slavish pastiche, no simple wallow in nostalgia. This is, as ever with the music of Cousin Silas, vital, uplifting and inspiring music that offers endless rewards with each subsequent play."

"At once aurally expansive, visually seductive, and cleverly compelling, "It's Been A Pleasure" fuses together experimental rock and fresh neo-soul vibes with modern prog, jazz, and a dose of electronic chaos, yielding an impressive debut album from Mirage.
Based out of Gainesville, Florida, Mirage formed in late 2016 and have been quickly captivating audiences with an extremely high-energy live show, seamlessly winding between bright, powerful melodies and dark, menacing grooves." - Some blurb
