What is the latest music you downloaded, what resolution and from where?
Posted by: Stevee_S on 13 January 2014
With more music being downloaded I thought it might be interesting to see what forum members are buying and from where.
The news that HD Tracks are soon to open an online UK store means that more choice is going to be available to us. The variety and quality of downloadable music we can choose from is expanding, MP3 to 24bit studio Masters at 192kHz and beyond.
So what are you buying and downloading?

Just heard the first 3 tracks. Wow. If it continues like this and it seems so, I'm now 1/2 way through track 4, this is the debut of the year.

Startas Orkester
I love it. Absolutely superb sound quality, lovely music, very pretty but also with bite and a bit humor.
tip, be fast if interested their 33% prize discount is mostly only for a couple of weeks. http://www.soundliaison.com/
Bought it after 10 seconds of the stream on the website - excellent music and very nice recording - and a good excuse to test the DSD support on the ND5XS - thanks for the tip!
Yes they, Sound Liaison, continue to impress, for €10, this is an absolute steal, and great that they give a chance to new talent. I hope we will hear more great music from the talented Startas Orkester in the future, they are a very welcome addition to the world of music.

Kandodo - Lost Chants/Last Chance
Qobuz 24/48
Psychedelic instrumentals courtesy of 3/4 The Heads and 1/4 Monster Magnet. There are actually two versions of the album here - one recorded (as if) at 45 rpm and the same again at 33 rpm (i.e. slowed down). And it works. Wonkily, as you'd expect :-)
Oh, and it's 100% ace.
Here's a track at proper speed i.e. "45"
It's on Bandcamp too, but I don't know what quality.
