What is the latest music you downloaded, what resolution and from where?

With more music being downloaded I thought it might be interesting to see what forum members are buying and from where.

The news that HD Tracks are soon to open an online UK store means that more choice is going to be available to us. The variety and quality of downloadable music we can choose from is expanding, MP3 to 24bit studio Masters at 192kHz and beyond.

So what are you buying and downloading?

From Qobuz. I just heard the song while playing the game on http://www.kizigamesxl.com . Since then it stuck in my heard. I listen it on repeat now all the time.

With the above selections from Jazz Lounge, am I being "dim" - how do you download these ?

I managed to see video of Nick Klaman Quintet, but none of the others worked ?

Can one download the music to listen through NAS..... ?

Thanks

It's simple. Obviously you go to the website. Click on catalogue and you get to the albums. Then click on the album and you get to the page. Then you see two kind of albums...

1. Like with Nick Klaman Quintet, only a video which you can watch but you can't download - this is only 1-2% of the collection

2. Then the others you will find a link line in the detail. When you click on that link the download automatically starts. You unzip it and I always also convert it into Flac with dvpoweramp

From Bandcamp in FLAC & MP3 320

"If anyone deserves a retrospective it is Chris Newman aka Delicate Apparatus. I’ve been eager to release something of his on weareallghosts ever since I heard his reworking of Cousin Silas's “In one corner of the sky”, the first track of the first album released on waag. I am delighted to feature on Newman’s reworking on this compilation along with a wide and varied selection of his music.

I find Newman’s work reminds me of Vangelis and, in particular, his seminal soundtrack to Blade Runner. Maybe it’s just me, I am known for my obsession with this soundtrack, but I really like the floaty nature of Newman’s music and see parallels that possibly others won’t." - Thomas Matie
