Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.
Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.
Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:
I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

Thanks it's a 70-200 f4.0 l IS at 200mm.
Heavy crop still mind...
Too misty here last night. I'm giving up...
Meanwhile, some nice Daffs taken with a 50mm 1.4 -
Very nice image
It's only recently I've come to like the 50mm. Like many things it just takes practice and experience to figure out how you use it

Jamie,
just get the habbit with the 50mm,you won't be disappointed. It's a great focal and it's almost the same of what you can see with your own eyes. Also,a lot of famous photographers did use it,say HCB?
Snowbells alongside a stream. Framing is a little dodgy, but I like the colors. Nikon af-s 85/3.5 macro

I agree Fabio, a 50mm lens has lots going for it. The majority of my photos have been taken using one - although I did eventually acquire one or two alternatives, my old and much-loved Olympus OM1n was used pretty much exclusively with a 1.4 50mm.
We're off to Mauritius on holiday soon & I don't want to lug loads of lenses with me so I'm seriously considering just taking my small waterproof Lumix & my 5D MkII with 50mm.
To get the '50mm effect', on an APS-C size sensor DSLR, you need to use a 35mm lens.
I have a 35mm/f2 Nikon, as my '50mm' fast lens. Here is one I took with it, using just natural light:
ianrobertm,
you're right,of course, but I grown up with 50 mm being a focal on a film camera. So I was lucky because Tonym understood me soon...
