Nice Photos.

Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.
Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.
Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.
Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:
I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

How can we compete with such exotica. This picture was also taken from indoors through a double glazed window but somehow lacks the vibrance of the picture above.

Steve, yours is a stunning photo by any standard.

I'm guessing that's not the fountains at the Bellagio?

How odd the thoughts provoked by a photograph can sometimes be.

I'll rephrase to Bananahead a more direct question, what and where?

It's the Font Magica de Montjuic in Barcelona. (The pics are clickable for more)

Less music now that the birding season is in full swing. Male blacktailed godwits are easy to photograph, as they are active nest defenders and effectively size you up from up close. Usually in flight, but I managed to sneak close to this one standing guard.

Another arctic tern. This one is heavily cropped, testing the limits of the oldish 12mp sensor.

From Brands Hatch today:
A few laps later, throttle stuck open, engine blew, car caught fire! The driver, Paul Drayson, escaped ok.

Amazing. My brother lived in Silvertown for two years, and the Isle of Dogs for two years before that, and I didn't notice that building once! Perhaps I was to nervous to see anything except the road ahead?

Very odd Tony - it utterly dominates Silvertown and North Woolwich. Still, at least you were concentrating on the road ahead so you are a conscientious driver!
