Nice Photos.

Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.

Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.

Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.

Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:

I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

A Fata Morgana for Corsica.Nice pic.Originally Posted by rodwsmith:

From here you can see Corsica in one direction and the Alps in the other. And loads of snow. Fantastic.

Problem with this picture is the lighting !

Can't see the quality of the pointing

Posted on: 03 December 2012 by Tony Lockhart

The real problem was getting dirty and wet (!) crawling around to get this shot. The wind was incredibly strong, especially between the arches.

Just realised, I need to post today's waterfall pic.

Hi Cbr600,let me know what you mean.Did you prefer the Viaduct spotted in its proper exposure and not in the dark as it comes out from the pic?

Fabio,

Apologies, it was a joke that does not translate very well.

I was referring to the pointing ( the joints in the brickwork).

Local humour I'm afraid.

Along the Canal

I once lived on a narrowboat around there for a year. Our mooring was in fact in Paddington Basin, behind the hospital, and it was very grotty, so every Sunday and much more frequently in the summer, we would take the boat through Little Venice, through the tunnel towards the zoo, past your picture, and into Camden Lock for the day. The most enjoyable form of slow transport in the world, although the steering is very counter-intuitive.

Happy times, but sleeping and waking lower than the waterline in London in the Winter (when your heating is done with burning things that cannot be left unattended and so must be put out before bed) was a damp cold that I still shudder to recall.

And once we saw a human body float past the window. Which kinda killed the romance of the whole thing.

Still, many, many happy memories of my time there. Thanks.

Thanks Rod - my pleasure.

I've always fancied a narrowboat holiday - I must do it one of these days. The slowness is very appealing.
