Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.
Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.
Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:
I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

Cheers chaps.
CBR, I cut out some masks, cut a shape e.g. star and put it in front of lens. Bit like a pinhole effect.
Why is that pool closed? Penguin H&S step in?
Howard
It was closed a few years ago because, while it was a masterpiece architecturally (Lubetkin designed it) the penguins apparently didn't like it. They now have a newer and much bigger space. This pool can't be demolished as it's listed.
I think ZSL are still trying to work out what to do with it.

Having followed this thead though 2012 it is clear that there are some very skilled photographers contributing to this site.
It would be great if the forum could create an "on line gallery" to showcase the works of the year
Well done to all who posted their images

This is a beautiful shot Tony. The tiny white roof apex' towards the bottom really gives the mountains perspective. The English lakes have some truly stunning views. Travelled up twice this year and hope to do the same again next year to get my "fix"!

Jason,
You must have really had a detailed look at the photo. Never saw the house until you mentioned it.
Well spotted

Winky I just don't get it. You visit and live in these beautiful places and you just take these great photographs of them while you're there...Don't you get bored of scenery?
It's also amazing that he must get to these places on his bike. From his posts on the other thread I can't imagine he would get behind the wheel of a car to drive there. Nice pics Winky.

That's fabulous!
Here is a rather less dramatic view of the same thing. Fire and ice beats just ice anytime I reckon...
I know some people go nuts over orchids but personally I don't see what all the fuss is about - this one suddenly appeared out of nowhere in our garden together with several other varieties.
I think this chap looks better in B&W
Here he is from afar - man and carabao in harmony
