Nice Photos.

Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.

Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.

Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.

Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:

I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

PS where is UB ?

Ulaan Baatar, Mongolia.

Wink, I like your Mongolia set on Flickr. Did you actually stop in Mongolia or just fly over it?

I've always wanted to visit there - was supposed to go in 1987 when I was in Siberia and Central Asia but visa problems and terrible weather (it was November) prevented me from going there.

I've spent quite a bit of time there, working on the giant Oyu Tolgoi mining project with Rio Tinto. Most of my time spent in UB, but some time in the countryside and desert. A spectacular, wild place. Highly recommended. UB is changing fast. Not without growing pains!

Why not try a mono pod, gives you good camera stability, and works as a walking stick when not used for camera

I have a mono pod, just have to get in the habit of using it...Besides a walking stick, it might come in handy in bear season lol. Winky, is there anyplace in the world you haven't been?

Steve,

They look surprisingly like ice-wine bottles on here (nice on flickr) , and I bet Jeremy Clarkson would have something to say about his lost heritage.
