Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.

Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.
Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:

I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

My photographer friend took this shot in Havana, Cuba some years back (which I also loved because the US gummint says you can't go there, but he did anyway - the Cuban officials didn't stamp US passports as a courtesy to the Americans in his group.) He also went to Myanmar/Burma before he was "allowed".
Anyway, he was walking down a street in Havana, and this curious little boy was following at a "safe" distance; when Jeff turned around the little guy ran away & climbed up on the fender of this distinctly Cuban automobile.
I have always loved this shot, and he finally posted it on his site. To me, it looks like something that could have come right out of a human interest news documentary.
Dr M,
The sheer grittiness of the photo speaks volumes
all that's missing is a big momma rolling a cigar on her thigh
I've been waiting for this Jay to keep still so I could photograph him. A quick snap :-

Winky,
Very nice images. Hope you didn't sprain your wrist schlepping that super heavy zoom. It definitely calls for an FX body. What is it going to be; a 600 or an 800?
With my collection of AIS lenses from the previous century I regret not getting a D700.
Winky,
What is it going to be; a 600 or an 800?
Or a D4?
Snowy again in our part of Suffolk this morning :-

Picturesque country stroll in bracing fresh air Tony. Looks like the paths are possibly slippery mud underfoot, just like around here.
Cheers

Nice evening glow Fabio.
Yes, nice capture. I like the slice of life type thing.
Clearly not out of the Monochrom...
The only thing I felt could be a drawback of Provia was that sometimes yellows seemed too, well, yellow! Fuji film was always very colourful (as are their digital cams) bot often I'd get slides back and if it hadn't been well developed it just seemed too lush.
