Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.

Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.
Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:

I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

Agreed...
+1
I only wish I had taken it.
A snowy walk around Derwent Water this morning :-
Pleasant, rather than spectacular, so not comparable with the Lakes or BC and resrained by my limited skills etc, but still "nice", IMHO of course. (and it does look better if you clik on Flikr)
Home to Tutenkamun or Lord Grantham, but I pass it on my way home each day and today it just looked a little bit more picturesque, so I thought I might try to share it with you.

I know it well Kevin. 'Something' about the photo gives it away. Is that 'Polythene Pam'? We must 'Come Together' sometime soon. (On writing that I have to stress there are no dodgy connotations meant!). Maybe when the 'Sun King' shows his face.

Guess where?
Is that where the chicken closed the road.
Ha! That's brilliant.

Indeed. Once I no longer have to say to clients "You never give me your money" and one can wake in the morning and say "Ah!" "Here Comes the Sun", I'll see you on The Dark Side of The Moon...

My son made the cardboard chicken for an RSPCA promotion. At 2m tall it was quite fearsome close up.
Hi Kevin
Nice work as usual. Hope you are well. As Dr Blues said lets come together soon.

Okay that technically speaking no one will give me any kudos, but this photo does catch something special.
Originally taken in 1985 with one of those Kodak cameras with a tiny film cassette, and captured recently with my current Ixus 750 from the photo album, it does show signs of age and hardly being perfect as a photo, but I'd like to share the obvious joyfulness of my then twelve month old [working] sheepdog, called Fred: He lived to be thirteen and never lost his sense of fun.

Not sure if that was a good idea...
I think it was a VERY good idea.
Great pic BH. Who are they watching?
What did he sign oriinally say?
Looks like danger, sheep dipper !
Amazing photo BH, such emotions on show
