Nice Photos.

Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.

Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.

Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.

Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:

I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

Sunshine behind me, dark clouds in front give me the contrast. I was trying to capture the colours of the trees/reeds, especially the light on the reeds, the swan was a stroke of luck but when I saw it coming, I had to have it! I wanted it to be part of the bigger picture though, not the focus. And the bugger was swimming to me at a rate of knots so had to be quick.

The lens was wide open at f2.8 which is not it's sharpest (and is manual focus only) and clearly lacks big depth of field but I think it then gives a kind of 'painted' aspect to the landscape type pictures I take with it and frankly is sharp enough...Very high speed then, I think it was 1/4000.

Spot metering Jamie?

Ah yes, the lovely 1961 Cadillac. Made back when a car was really a car! Stand next to one today and you can hardly believe how long they are.

Dying Pink Cadillac in Athens of all places. But not alone!

Here's a "Dis-chevvy-ed" Impala which was next to it.

A sad story of planned restoration and no money in there somewhere I suspect.

Nice black and white, Jamie.

Hmmm...

Mine's a genuine reflection, no trickery.  A reflection always has slight differences (apart from the obvious ones) from the source.
