Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.

Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.
Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:

I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

That's another good 'un Jamie.
Testing my recently acquired Meyer Optic Gorlitz 150mm and I can't get the cat to cooperate.
Although, no problem with this one.
NIkon have always cracked me up with their lens hoods for the long lenses being almost half as long as the lens itself!
Yeah, seems an overkill in terms of simply keeping the front element in the shade, but there is still an additional advantage (higher contrast and saturation) in reducing the amount of indirect light falling on the lens. For long lenses, the hoods are long "because they can be" without vignetting. My f2.8 400mm lens has a two-part hood, so I can use none, 1/2 or full length. I almost always use the full hood.
Thats a beauty Kevin, external push rods and all.

Yep Paul, it's lovely. Apparently not too comfortable as a ride though, according to its owner.
