Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.

Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.
Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:

I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

Charming black curtain grouping, Sinper. In what country do you reside?
Haim, Philippines. I don't know what you mean by black curtain grouping. Actually this was a funny moment. I saw the little one first and took a snap. Then a second appeared and I took a snap. Then the third (obviously sisters) then a boy appeared, then another, then another. Six children all hanging out of the window of a tiny bamboo house. It is quite common to see 9 or 10 children living in the same shack.
Which do you think is the best photo?

Sniper,
I don't know which is the best but I personally much prefer the bottom image. The three girls make a sweet triumvirate, the background is more interesting and the out-of-focus foreground is less distracting. The girls standing in the entryway with their long dark hair partly covering their faces made me think of a black curtain.
Is that a Wimbledon shot Nigel?
Super picture Kevin, love the shape of the decanter/ewer/bottle

Thanks Howard. The Japanese do that sort of thing so well.

Winky,
Mine was early morning with no nature to speak of. Taken from a bridge smack in downtown Chicago.

Mine is in Oxford on the Isis (Thames) late in the evening.
Mine was at Brohm ridge by the abandoned Nancy Greene ski chalet in Squamish. Not quite as exotic as Chile!

No. I live in Zurich and once every three years they have the Züri Fäscht. This is just a random snap (as are the others around it in my flickr stream).
