Nice Photos.

Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.

Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.

Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.

Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:

I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

Here you go Sniper, something with a bit more testosterone - that ancient Harley (again)

That Ancient Harley, Again

That's not actually an old bike, is it? It looks much more like a "steam-punk" style recent build. It is kind of cool, though.

It's definitely a Panhead engine and the tank looks original. In addition it looks like a wishbone rigid frame so I think the basic structure of the bike is authentic and it's just chopped rather than a bitsa. It does appear to have had an electronic ignition fitted but who can blame him.

And disc brakes.

Again, a sensible choice.

That's quite something when you zoom in a bit on Flickr and lose the top of the hedge behind.  The detail in the droplets is all there!

Thanks G. It was taken at f2.4, 1/4,000th of a second in bright daylight. Thought it looked better in B&W in terms of the light and detail in the droplets but I will have a go at a colour version as well.

Obviously not one of mine, but I just love Cassini's image of the Saturn moon Hyperion.

I agree. Remarkable given the fact that the data was transmitted over a billion miles.

My friend's cat Alfie. A Norweigian forest cat, and just about the most handsome moggie I've ever met.

And yet to me it looks like something you'd find at the bottom of the sea.
