Nice Photos.

Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.

Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.

Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.

Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:

I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

Not long back from Iceland where we walked the Laugavegur Trail (Landmannalaugar to Þórsmörk 4 days) followed by an additional 2 days from Þórsmörk to Skogar staying in the hut at Fimmvörðuháls.

If you watch Julia Bradbury's walking programs she did more or less this same walk - although we didn't get a lift when it started raining or a helicopter ride to the summit of Eyafjallajökull which is another 600m higher and 6-7Km from the hut we stayed in.

This was taken not far from Alftavatn (Swan Lake) at the beginning of our 3rd day.

Incredible landscape, eh? Nice photo. I'd love to go there one day.

Thanks winky. It is an amazing place. When we walked up to Fimmvörðuháls we sat on the new hills created by the 2010 eruption - the ground there is still hot. I've never been to a volcanic area before and so this was just totally alien.

Homeless woman - I bought her a hamburger and soft drink - she seems happy. Pity about the tree in the background.
