Nice Photos.

Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.

Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.

Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.

Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:

I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

You should have shown a cropped version also where the bike details where a bit more visible - your friends name would then be (more) self-explanatory

I'm pretty sure this vintage tripod head inspired some Star Wars character.

I took a whack of photos at the Cyclocross race my club hosts. Link is to the set, if anyone is interested. To be fair, most are really only of interest to the subjects themselves!

Certainly my Carlton - here in winter scheme with the widest tyres that will fit the clearances, 28-700c - would not cope well with either Canadian grass paths, or Norwegian forest trails!

Yes it would. Road bikes are much more versatile than people give them credit for. With 28mm tyres you can do all sorts of gravel, grass and dirt riding. I have no (few?) problems on gravel roads with 25 mm or even 23 mm tyres on my road bikes.

Dear Winki,

Only in the last day have I realised just how tall this cycle is, even leaning away from me the saddle it at the bone by the pelvis at the top of the leg.

I still don't know how I mount it, but I do, and once moving, it is bliss!

You are quite right - it is far too tall a frame in the general consideration. Only my Eagle was taller, and that was an unsprung MTB. still went like a rocket on its day. 10 minutes slower over 14miles on good hills ...

But I love it ...
