Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.
Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.
Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.
Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:
I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

I took a trip to the Mosquito Museum near London Colney for the first time today. Here's a couple of photos of the prototype Mosquito a few yards from where she was built in secrecy:

Here's one for you Munch - a Sydney Funnel Web, the world's most poisonous and dangerous supposedly. I fished this out of the pool in our garden. Used to get one or two a year.
By the way, the spider in the bottom picture is very much alive and dangerous.

Do you mean this one? It's the Close to the Edge album. Had never thought of that!

It certainly is. Roger must have been to Sydney! That beach is a very lovely place and very popular with photographers. I got there one morning at 5am and there were about 10 other people as mad as me.

Haim,
That shot you mailed me a few weeks ago of that thing with 8 legs, you should post it.
Munch
Stuart,
That is your pet now so you can 'show and tell'. It is going to look at home with Adrian's spiders.
I still have to learn how to attach a small file and still get a large image on this site.
Regards,
Haim

Thanks Adrian.
This is for Stuart, a Midway monster totally unafraid of my wide angle lens stucked inches from his face, enjoying his late afternoon sun:

Fabulous shot. Razor sharp and very interesting composition. Tonal range is great. Is it an HDR composite?

Finally cracked this posting lark then Haim? Well worth waiting for great shots very unusual, love the sea of poles, and not a builder in sight!

Praying mantis have serious attitude for something so small. They often just sit there and basically saying come on then if you are tough enough! These insects have voracious appetites and will attack anything of similar or smaller size than themselves even members of their own kind... Males normally get eaten by their partners whilst mating
Anyway, here's another small beastie with attitude, she certainly was prepared to stand her ground. Not an insect this time but an arachnid. I found this female E.italicus scorpion under a rock near the house where I was staying in Tuscany in August.
Kind regards,
Peter

Thanks.
I had no choice; crack that posting lark or fly to England so Adrian can personally 'show & tell' me.
The picture is of a coal generated power plant in the nearby town of Waukegan in northern Illinois.

Thanks Winky.
It is a straight forward shot (not even a crop) taken with my D200 and the 12-24mm DX lens.
I did not know what HDR was till you explained it to me last week. The only basic tool I use is Photoshop Elements.
Show us more of your images please.

Haim

Very nice, Peter.
I like the light reflected on her shiny body. Like a good female she must have put her make-up before leaving the house.

Winky,
The sharpness and the tones are just amazing. You would think that it is a view cameara shot.
By the way, I don't think that the D700 is selling so well. Nikon is offering a $300 rebate for it.

Haim
