Nice Photos.

Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.
Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.
Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.
Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:
I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

One of my favorites: Pending moonrise over Queen Charlotte Sound. For us northerners, Orion and the Plieades are upside down.
You may need to view in higher resolution to appreciate the stars.

Even more so in real life! Milford sound is an extraordinary place, and we had a beautiful sunny day there. We spent most of November in NZ, and mostly on the South Island. I don't usually shoot straight into the sun, but this lighting was dramatic and accented the scale of the scene. If you look at a higher res version, you see a waterfall in the distance.
Cheers

Jamie, that owl is beautiful. It looks like you took the picture at 200mm focal length. You must have been quite close!

Yes, he was about 3m away, the other side of a fence.
On the other hand this chap(?) was a bit further away, flying freely looking for something nice...
