Nice Photos.

Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.

Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.

Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.

Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:

I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

rodwsmith, nice. I especially like the last one.

jamie, you have a way with wildlife.  Do you live near a zoo, or preserve?

Thanks. I think that's form taking pics of my cats when there's nothing better!

There is a zoo near us called Hamerton which we visited last weekend, not been for years before that though.

The Snow Tiger and the Zebra were at Linton zoo, just south of Cambridge.

The difficulty with shots of most zoo animals though is the fencing! There's a big green line of fence running down the snow leopards face for example, bokeh and editing help but...

There are actually quite a few wildlife centres in our region, I seem to remember reading we had more big cats than some reserves in Africa!

Thanks Charlie.

It's Apricale, a village just over the border from me, in Italy.

Ludicrously build on a blade of mountain sticking out above a valley like something from a Tolkein story. The view below (I think) spoiled by a modern building as you approach. The photo above was taken from just about the top of the hill above the village. Nice place, highly recommended - plenty to see, eat and do, even in January.

Cheers

My beloved Maserati captured in the Worcestershire countryside in December 2013 just before the floods came and benched her indefinitely.

I hope you will be able to get it back on the road soon. Looks great.

Hi Adrian,

Looks lovely. I teed off at 7.30 and it was cloudy but was perfect for a nice game of golf. The sun came out on the back nine. I trust you played well.

Steve, not my best effort today unfortunately. Something has been lost over the Christmas break. I hope it returns soon as I was playing so well late last year!

3 blobs for me today but 33 points helped by a birdie on the last. Quite pleased as I haven't played much lately.

Beautiful light Tony. I bet you were eating one of Meg's culinary delights as you were watching the sunset. Lucky boy.
