Nice Photos.

Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.

Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.

Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.

Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:

I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

Thanks Kev

It's my usual 5d iii and my new uber zoom, a Tamron 150-600mm. Then some cropping...

The birdies were endlessly entertaining and rather fearless

Until, that is, Iggy appeared:

I'm not even sure iguanas eat birds, let alone the unlikelihood of him being able to catch one, but he certainly scared them off. A good 3½' tip to tail he was an old fella ("not ver good eatin'" as I was told)

Thought I'd try something different.

Not pre-planned, but waiting for my family to appear outside the theatre and waiting longer than expected! So, started taking pics of life going on around me...

If you click and open in flickr, you can then view larger.

Thirty minutes with Shakespeare pictures final

Playing before the play, Jamie? Reminds me a little of Sohei Nishino who waited for his family even longer:

  • Sohei Nishino walked the entire city of London on foot for a month, wandering the streets and recording images from every possible angle. 4,000 of these photographs, hand printed in his own dark room, were then meticulously pieced them together with scissors and glue in his Tokyo studio. The result was an aerial view of London, which was then reshot as a completed collage to produce a final image. More of Nishino’s collages are on show at the Michael Hoppen Gallery

Converted a Nikon D70s to IR, stops the monkeying about with filters and long exposures...
