Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.

Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.
Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:

I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

Exquisite shot, Winky. Was it one of a burst or did you ask the bird to pose for a single?
How do you like the 610?

Thanks Haim. One of a burst, hand-holding the 400/2.8. The D610 is great. The high ISO performance is quite remarkable, allowing shots like the one you mention (shot at 1000 ISO, 1/1600@f8).

Gah! Too late!
Steve,
This is a Metra train in the Union Station downtown Chicago. The ice you see on the tracks is three weeks old.The stuff just refuses to melt.

I'll raise your 'Deluxe' Kevin. Thirty four thousand and five hundred of your bucks buys an anniversary edition of a (decent enough) camera, two lenses and a suitcase to put them in...Not biting tho'

Nor me. You could buy a serious Nikon or Canon collection with that cash. A couple of pro bodies, and a great set of lenses. I've never really got the Leica thing.
Winky,
I am with you on the Leica affair. So expensive and they are not even letting you look through the lens..
