Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.
Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.
Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:
I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

Tonym, you might get this location! Shot this yesterday.
Great photo; you timed it well, I don't think you would have got that shot today with the snow blowing horizontally!
The Water of Derwent in the foreground and the Bells of Cat in the distance?
Thanks Gianluigi.
Lovely shot count.d! Oh yes, you're just up from Friar's Crag. I'll be up there on Satuday for a couple of weeks.
Thanks dry_stone. It is Derwent, but don't know what or where Bells of Cat is. I shot this Saturday, so no snow. The light was pretty flat, so didn't have a lot to play with. I'll have to go back and do an early or late shot sometime.
Thanks Tony and yes, spot-on! We could make this an ongoing quiz.
Here's a 'Nice' photo. In that it's a photo of (all of) Nice. I have lived in my flat for four years, and walk the dog every day, but only yesterday did I discover the trail that leads to this view (about 25 mins walk from the front door) I suspect Lukey will be getting some longer walks than usual this summer.
From the mountains to the sea. The hilltop village you can just about make out dead centre is St Paul de Vence. Taken using the iphone pano camera.
Here's a Flickr version (if it works):

Thanks Fabio.
I do have a good(ish) camera, but this picture was taken with the phone (iphone 4s), and even then in 'pano'(ramic) mode, which involves moving the apparatus. Neither of which I would have thought would lend themselves to quality and definition, but actually the detail in the shot is quite incredible considering.
I might take the decent SLR next time I do that particular hike.
Cheers

That's an area of France I've always wanted to visit properly. I recently read Dirk Bogarde's multi volume autobiography which includes a great deal about his idyllic life in an old farmhouse near Chateauneuf de Grasse. If you haven't read it you should, he's an utterly wonderful writer and there is a lot of depth to his thinking about what is truly important in life etc.
Anyway, a lovely photo.

I love how this ancient road sign is gradually being consumed by nature
"Why are they making me wear this ridiculous comedy scotsman hat to school?"
"You do realise that this is a chainsaw I've got, don't you?"
