Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.
Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.
Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:
I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

Nice pic.
How are Anne and Zara?
The deer made dry land safely after swimming 2km across the Marlborough sounds
It's lucky no-one shot it!
This impala was not so lucky, stuck between a rock & a hard place, the choice was make a run for it & risk the hyena or stay in the water & hope it looses interest. Wrong!!! a croc snuk up from behind & the impala was gone in a flash
That tends to be the lot of impala Kiwi Kat, they are the most predated buck in southern Africa. They make up the majority of each of leopard, cheetah & wild dog kills. Lion can't catch a fit one unless they get lucky, but the are happy to scavenge from cheetah. Hyena invariably scavenge anyway, they commonly follow leopard & I've seen one steal a kill before the leopard had chance to haul it up a tree. The impala & croc in the pictures is at Sunset Dam, Kruger NP, an area I know well, & they normally take catfish & birds, an impala must have been a real treat. Sunset Dam has a great many crocs btw
Just to give the impala a fair go ....... they are beautiful delicate bucks standing about 85cm at the shoulder. Best time to see them in southern Africa is when the lambs arrive around the first summer rains (Oct/Nov)
My first visit to Transylvania.
Will categorically NOT be my last!!!
Leaving the girls behind
Baby steps with the new gear; the 810 and its 20mm f/1.8.
I had a look at the full res version on Flickr. Nice kit. Good choice.
Thanks, Winky.
The 810's manual is like a Tolstoy, 500 pages long. There is a lot to learn / test and I am taking my time going through it. The older body (D700) is an outstanding camera and will definitely be a keeper.
Ha Ha cool shot. I like the one where the other's flying on your flickr page too!
