Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.
Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.
Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:
I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

Thanks. A favorite spot, a seawall that takes you 600 yards away from the shore line.
This is my daughter practicing her Kayaking last night. Her instructor can't believe how strong her stroke is and really wants her to push on... She seems to feel she's got genuine top drawer potential. Unfortunately my daughter is less convinced, especially having just started secondary school and is now being overwhelmed with stacks of homework!

I was once a decent athlete (running) and one of my regrets was using the 'I've just started grammar school and don't have time for this' line. Even though I believed it at the time, with the benefit of hindsight it wasn't true then and I suspect isn't true today! I would plead with her to sit down and think her decision through a bit further - if she can truly shine at this, it would be a real shame to give up on it and possibly end up like me with regrets further up the road.

I agree. I swam to international level whilst at grammar school, training up to five hours a day. I know it was a determining factor when I applied for medical school as I overheard one of the interviewers say if I had the self discipline to train those hours I would be able to apply that to my studies. In those days it was difficult for someone, like me, from a council estate to get into medical school and I was the only one from my school, out of six who applied, to be successful. So I'm with Peter, encourage her to continue, but obviously don't push too hard.
Good luck.

Daughter looks very sweet, Jamie. Excellent focus job capturing the water drops in mid-air.
Awesome indeed!
Thank you both.Rodwsmith, this was taken yesterday at Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena,an ancient village close to my vacation home, not so far from your place,if memory helps me.

Thanks for your comments guys. I think she'll have another look in the Spring. She kinda left her kayaking friend behind in ability stakes so her friend quit. Then it got cold. And the evenings dark. Practice is now in the Swimming pool on Saturday evenings(!) And she does seem to get huge amounts of homework from her new school. On the other hand her school thinks she should try Rugby which she fancies because apparently '...you can hit people in that.' I guess they've picked up on her competitive streak...

I took this at City Hall in NYC last week.
Very Moody Tony, is it open to public?

I don't think it is in general, so I keep my eyes on this: http://www.lightnings.org.uk
Bruntingthorpe is quite a place, take a look on Google Earth. It's a vehicle proving facility with good security, so we can't just turn up and wander around as far as I know. The site has a Cold War Jets day each year, with lots of fast taxi runs etc. Two Lightnings did just that last night in twilight. Stunning.
I've just checked online, and Bruntingthorpe is open every Sunday, 10-4. £5 per adult, kids free when accompanied.
