Nice Photos.

Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.

Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.

Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.

Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:

I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

Went for a hike yesterday. Nice.

This lonesome tree is visible (just) - wherever you can see the horizon - from everywhere in Nice.

It sits in the saddle between the Pic de Courmettes (1248m) and the Puy de Tourrettes (1268m), which was the route of my (favourite) hike.

(You can just about make out the city in the background of the photo)

Excellent Haim. Looks wide angle up-close. Did you ask permission before photographing her?

Thanks, EJ. The girl was sitting on a quiet side street rehearsing for a job interview and  I shot her from behind a parked car unnoticed, without asking for permission. Later I showed her the captured image on my Camera's LCD screen.

Nice Haim, and what did she say then?

Posted on: 26 December 2015 by Haim Ronen

I asked her if she wanted me to e-mail her the image but she wasn't interested. Sometimes people ask me to delete their picture and I always oblige.

On my way home from Whistler today. iPhone photo.

Winky, I prefer the second composition as well as the darker tones of the first image.

I think you're right.

I prefer the second composition including its lighter tones.

But I miss the extended view to the right that includes the third peak in the first composition.

Can you retain that third peak by cropping less on the right hand side and thus extending the panoramic effect of the view of the second composition ?

Nice picture and nice location either way !
