Nice Photos.

Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.

Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.

Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.

Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:

I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

I've been shortlisted as one of 5 in a national photography competition. Would I be permitted to post a link asking if any forumites would care to vote if they thought the shot merited it?

Embargo on announcing until tomorrow but thought I'd test the water on protocol here.

Cheers

Speaking for myself, I would think you could post a link to the competition and let people vote for which they felt was best, but not specifically link to your photo.

Just my thoughts no idea on the forum rules for this...

That's what I meant - Not 'vote for me' but look at the 5 and vote if you think it merits it.

The PR should come out tomorrow so I'll post a link to the brief and a link to the voting.

Thanks

Between the times

Temple Farm

A very hazy evening. Contrast suffers but shadows are becoming softer, elaborating the scene's sense of calmness. A very acceptable trade-off.

Competition:

Please have a look at the 5 shortlisted photographs. If you think I deserve your vote (until Wednesday 29th June midnight) then please do vote.

Many thanks for looking.

And mine. I'd rather the photos had been anonymous really, though I'd have chosen the same one. I'm intrigued by what she's jumping from, as the pontoon things seem further from the camera.

Thanks gentlemen. It's my daughter...(a trained gymnast so she makes it)...HH it is an optical illusion.  She is leaping from the stone setts.

Actually, the building (Board of Trade in Chicago) was one of the filming locations for the 2005 "Batman Begins" and the 2008 "The Dark Night". This is looking down from the 19th floor at the red carpeted sitting area which act as an artistic core to the imagery.
