Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.
Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.
Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:
I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

Sunset here last night
Not taken by me but thought it was worthy of a posting. The Trossachs last night.
Cool shot, had to make it smaller to view it properly tho'...
Kayakoy in Turkey. A completely deserted city following the movement of its inhabitants to Greece in the 1920s. Interesting and slightly spooky place to visit.

Sunrise in Transylvania

Beautiful composition, rodwsmith. I particularly like the obvious and less obvious slants of the image.
Had the chance to attend a lecture about the early contributions to the moving pictures. They also fired up - literally - the oldest surviving projector left in Norway. It's a German projector from the early twaenties. They didn't have strong enough bulbs back then so they used what's more or less a welding arch to create light. The machinist has to continually screw two positive and negative carbon rods towards each other. Funny sitting close to the projector while it fumes and smells.
Wow!

Such a beautiful sky. Great capture.
Thanks. It had to be a relatively quick grab as I had impatient people wanting to get off the pier!
I might try a bit of work on it and see if I can bring out a bit more of the Milky Way without overwhelming noise coming in too
Some amazing photographs above! Thank you all!
Here's a couple of clichés I took a few weeks ago. China, a place of contrast.
Stupidly tall building from top of even more stupidly tall building.

Skies like that are frequent where I live Jamie especially during the summer. If the sun has been out during the day then it is almost every night we get a sunset like that.
