Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.
Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.
Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.
Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:
I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

The Cathedrals Express:
In this case the engine is the Oliver Cromwell, photographed about four pm today on the line from Worcester to Hereford [the loco is stationary, facing Hereford] in Saint Johns, with just its tender.
The whistle drew my attention to it, and I rushed out and took this one. The two from the kitchen window were not very fine!

What the hell happened there?I replied to your post and then it disappeared!!
What head dress do you wear?
I went out without for a 30 minute run in my mates 7, I thought I'd had my head in a spin drier or Concords exhaust port, after.
It has had the side effect of stopping me wanting one now.

Baseball cap and earplugs! It is not THAT bad when the doors are on, gets terrible if you take them off. Did your mate's car have a windscreen or just a deflector?
We drove from Yorkshire to Portsmouth and Bilbao to the Picos and back. Huge hoot.
Actually I'm selling the car so maybe you want to change your mind?

It had the full screen, can't remember if the side windows were on.
Thanks but I'll pass on the kind offer.

It is, and this photo shows it off so well (I think!!). A video just doesn't do it justice.
I hardly 'shopped this photo. Just a little curves adjustment, iirc. The full resolution pic is just lovely, and the sun from behind is the icing on the cake. Chuffed.

I have this plant in my back garden. It grows from about 1ft to about 9ft high each year. I know it attracts butterflies which is nice but today there seems to be about 30 on it! Here are three [one is behind the leaf on the bottom left].

If I had a garden in England it would have to have a buddlia,
Here in LA one of our most beautiful is the crepemyrtle. They get about 26 feet tall but bloom in hot summer when color is so needed.

What better to do than look up favorite plants in my area, I'll share a few.
Ceanothus. in most areas it's a pale blue amidst grey greens Here is a wonderful blue color and spectacular form.
They really are incredible plants.

Another native Manzanita.
and they can be flat, mounded like this or small trees.
Tough as nails and DON'T give them extra water or rich soil. Be still my heart. I just love looking at our rugged native vegetation.

Death Valley has its fair share of special vegetation:
Something that might almost be a fungus?
Pale papery leaves to keep moisture usage to a minimum.
High desert and a Joshua
