Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.
Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.
Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:
I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

Haim, I've lost the ability to post from Flickr. There is no combination of code I can extract from the "Share" options on Flickr that Hopeless will interpret and use to display the image. What am I missing? (The FAQ on the subject appears out of date).
Winky,
Copy the embed URL from the flickr share photo box, click on the source code (<> top right icon) of Naim's add reply, paste the URL in the box that opens and then click OK.

Haim, what kind of building is this? It's just that the wheel and cogs made me so curious? Nice street art too!
The daily evening dog walk was made special by a most fantastic silver-like light. This cold hard light is something special, but it also makes me long for warmer seasons.

Just a follow up to this photo that I mistook for hoarfrost. I did some googling and it's actually a phenomenon identified as "hair ice". The unique formation of the ice is associated with a fungus present in the wood of tree branches. An explanation and some lovely time-lapse photography is given in the video below:
Joe no need for clarification. Good picture.
BTW "no one noticed" (in a whisper).
It's not important, unlike the spelling or heaven forbid the treason of a missing or additional comma/apostrophe.
