Nice Photos.

Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.

Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.

Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.

Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:

I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

This is from one of the typical small alleyways on the Nordnes peninsula where I work. It's strange they were allowed to build that close as most of this area was consumed by the flames in the great fire of 1916.

The importance of having good neighbors quadruples here.

If we are in abandoned mood..

Silver lining

 Green power

Abandoned plant of Johnson Marine Engines. The place was contaminated with toxic oils and metals and had to be razed.

Trying out my new old 90mm Elmarit lens from 1971 - and in fact from my birth year. This is a lens which may look a little ridiculous as it's unfashionable long but it does work mechanically very well.

My grand daughter once more:

This is the view from the shore at Emsworth. While it was taken at 10 this morning, the light makes it look as though it's evening.

I have quite a few lenses myself from the seventies which are much better built than the modern plastic ones. They work wonderfully with my 12 MP camera but unfortunately not all of them measure up to the new 36 MP body. This one was taken with an ancient Nikkor 15mm lens:

That's a sharp photo! Even with the bright light in front of the wheel one can really see quite a lot of details in the shadows.

Lenses should be made to last forever. But I guess the autofocus motors etc won't last that long.
