Nice Photos.

Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.

Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.

Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.

Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:

I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

Awakening...

I have a video cam installed in a nest box and it connects to my tv. Here's a short compilation of shots from the past couple of weeks. 10 eggs laid, 9 hatched, 8 fledged this morning. One lonely one left still being looked after by both parents. As a bonus, I was very lucky to capture one of the chicks just after it had fledged this morning. So small, pics don't really give the scale.

Thanks Jamie, James. The picture inside the nest box isn't quite as good since I got a 4K tv. It seems the upscaling degrades the quality. Extremely interesting watching live footage.

That's really neat Count D - Two of our boxes are very busy at the moment so hoping to see the young ones soon. Must get a camera box installed this winter as i'd love to watch what goes on inside

Many English people who went to school in the 1950s and 60s, or who had grandparents of a certain age will remember this brand of bog roll with horror... Why anyone thought tracing paper impregnated with disenfectant was a good idea would make suitable toilet paper is beyond me.
