Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.
Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.
Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:
I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

Thanks Guys.
It's not the most traditional of Shakespeare productions! Purists would not like it at all.
Quite good fun though.

I see the sun is coming out as well which you have deserved after that hiking trip.
Imagine they were going to tear Bryggen down in the fifties giving way to ugly modern buildings. A local initiative was formed and Bryggen was saved. When SAS wanted to build a large hotel at the end of and at the back of Bryggen they had to build a hotel which was in the shape of the old buildings.
I hope you enjoyed your cruise Don!
We certainly enjoyed the cruise Mr Fjeld. Perfect weather, beautiful scenery, some great hiking. I will post one or two more pictures when I find time.
Meanwhile, I wonder if you are able to shed some light on a mysterious building near the top of Rundemanen ?
It's a small stone building, about 1.5m x 1.5m ( yes, 5' x 5') behind which is a small "amphitheatre". It has a plaque by the entrance "galleri kronberg". It's about 100m along the ridge above Store Tindevanet, from the last bit of access track to the radio mast.
Googling throws up a couple of "Art" sites, suggesting people are free to exhibit their art within the stone building. (There was a red bench placed about 20m away which looked as if it was part of some artistic setting.
We first saw this building about 10 years ago when we first came to Bergen. The guide-book (which I no longer have) mentioned a Viking hut in this area, but I am unsure if it was a reference to this stone building or a hiking lodge a few km away !
Any clues ?

Sorry for taking so long to reply Don. I've been busy painting the house today and totally forgot to check this thread.
Well, you certainly made me curious about the Galleri Kronborg. I didn't know such a thing existed on Mount Fløien! I googled it as well and as you mentioned it's a private initiative where two persons take the role as curators. I have to check it out and see if I can attend a performance. Thanks for the tip

I love Orcas Island, love to hike around Moran State Park and Turtleback Mountain. Lots of peace and quiet! The place is changing however, the never ending increase in property values and availability of afforable full time rentals have left a shortage of workers for the restaurants and shops both seasonally and year round. It is not unusual to see signs in shops/restaurants letting you there will be a wait for service.

Thanks for that update, as you say things seem have changed driven by the property market it seems. A lovely island for all sorts of reasons and my opportunity to watch Orcas in the wild for the first time.
