Nice Photos.

Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.

Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.

Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.

Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:

I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

And yes, I was that close. This is not a telephoto lens..!

Yep, actually a pair of them running up and down the runway at Bruntingthorpe. The definition of power.

As an airforce brat growing up in Australia, we'd bike down to the runway and watch the Dassault Mirages taking off and landing. Awesome, especially at night. Those static vertical dark bars in the exhaust plume are an interesting phenomenon. We could see those in the Mirage exhausts. too. There is a scientific explanation for them that I won't repeat here.

The sun has been in hiding for what feels like weeks. Should have put on The Beatles "Here comes the Sun"....

Fjeld,

Vary nice slanting shades work.

Thanks Haim  It rains on average 250 days a year over here and the clouds filled with water is pressed towards the mountains surrounding the town. I sometimes wonder how I cope - but then I think about the bitterly cold winters where I grew up in the eastern part of the country.... I'd take a few raindrops any day.

That's a lovely miniature renaissance garden Bert! And beautiful surroundings too if the next photo is from above the castle?
