Nice Photos.

Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.

Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.

Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.

Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:

I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

I'd say it's more descriminate than a 1000lb bomb.

Or an IED.

Not nice, but made me chuckle. Seen near my home on a road out of Newmarket:

True. Yet.... When it comes to warfare we have to distinguish between weapons that are targeted at shelters, silos, tanks, and so forth. That it where I see a bomb to be of use and in that context it is as legal as a weapon can be. The weapon described above, sounds similar in goal to napalm and cluster bombs. Such weapons are primarily targeting humans on a large scale. These may be soldiers but the risk of collateral damage and loss of civilian life does seem too high with such a weapon.

They are very careful where they use the flechette rockets, because of that. I see a young Afghan girl was killed this week by a leaflet box dropped from a Hercules. The box failed to open in mid-air and struck her on the head. How unlucky?

What's a sunrise? Not seen one of those since I was a lad, coming home from a party. Roll Eyes

Effective shot George, well done.

Howard, you should get out - I mean up more Smile

Here's one of a place that has the most fantastic sunrises IMHO as George and Julian H will know for sure:

Thanks Haim,

I had no problem sleeping. It is a truly beautiful part of the world. The beach where I was camped is near the Southwest Cape of Tasmania. I woke to a blood red dawn. I couldn't quite figure out what was going on at first - very weird. I'm just sorry I didn't use the incredible light and get a bunch more photos.

On this hike I went days at a time without seeing a soul. 2 weeks in the most amazing wilderness. Highly recommended.

Hi winky

Just wondering if you have been to Tofino yet?

Reminds me a lot of your pics from Tansmania!
