Nice Photos.

Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.

Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.

Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.

Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:

I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

Flame, you're almost making me want to return to the eastern province.

Well, I say almost. Winker

LOL

I'll take that as a compliment and extend an invitation to you. You are welcome to visit at any time. I'm sure you'll find things have changed a lot in certain aspects and stayed completely unchanged in others. Still no clouds as you can see. lol

Regards...

If life was easy I'd be there in a shot, thanks!
A good friend has my old job at the moment. I was doing it during my first trip out there from 91-93. When he emailed me with what it was like, I went through all the emotions of returning to a crap job out of desperation. Awful feeling.
My second trip, 95-99, was far better. Lots of working outside, and my wife joined me which made a huge difference.

Never say never.....

Tony

(enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Particularly pleased with the composition of this one. I also think I'm starting to get a better grip of color to B&W conversions.

I think I found a little Haim Ronen lurking inside my creative mind in order to come up with this Winker Imitation is the greatest form of compliment I hope Smile

Thanks Tony M. I really liked your pic from Brandelhow Woods a few pages back as well.

Living in Vancouver means we have a lot of chances to do cloud photography...

Tony, you use Canon too right? Is that 24-70 2.8 lens?
Posted on: 20 September 2010 by tonym
Hi James, bet you're having fun with your new acquisition! We need to see some results from it - Ferry Meadows at dawn perhaps?

The top photo's with my trusty 24 - 105 f4L, the other's with a 16 - 35 f 2.8L II.

Aha, you read my other post then. Funnily enough I'll have more fun when my 24-105 arrives (tomorrow I hope...). Hah!

Aerodromo La Juliana, just outside Seville - 30/12/2009

Exactly as shot - no post processing. On holiday. Frown

There again, this is the River Medway, taken from the hard shoulder of the M20 where we were stationary a few days earlier:-

I could take the shot because this is what the M20 was doing at the time!

So not all bad!

Why anybody would choose to drive anywhere in the UK continues to baffle me.
Posted on: 20 September 2010 by fixedwheel
It was an exceptional night. About a foot of snow in the south of England, apparently was about a once in 50 years event. And very, very few people in the UK run winter tyres. So everybody heads off road at the first flake. And of course there isn't the infrastructure setup to keep the roads clear in that kind of unusual conditions.

I've run separate winter and summer tyres for the last 6 or 7 years, and never regretted that decision.

Come on, admit it. British motorways being turned into parking lots isn't THAT unusual! Winker
