Nice Photos.

Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.

Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.

Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.

Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:

I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

Back from a 1-week safari in Kruger. It was a lucky trip - two out of many pictures:

Enjoy,

Some excellent pics again folks! Smile

Here's my effort from the weekend......

First go at shooting fireworks and I wasn't there as early as I would have liked. Plus it was a relatively small display (West Linton village green) and they were firing off at random heights / directions, plus I didn't have a lot of time between to make any adjustments!

That's my excuse anyway and I'm sticking to it....... Big Grin

Gutted about the drizzle on the lens for this one!

A bit damp but not a bad weekend.

After the storm

stark angularity combined with "flow". beautiful contrast, as always, Haim.

in a way that looks so innocent, yet, I vividly remember a day in my youth when two friends and I walked a jetty like that on Lake Erie and a squall suddenly arose as we were at the far end. we ended up seated on the "back" side of the wall holding on for dear life as breakers splashed over us. i might have seen god that day.

hope you are well, Haim, i love all your photo posts.

best regards

Thanks, Jeff.

The picture is very deceiving. It was one of the windiest days in Chicago of recent years with gales over 50 MPH. I made a point to get from work earlier, grabbed the camera and drove to the lakefront, racing the diminishing light, hoping to capture the mother of all storms.
Despite the fact that I could hardly keep my balance in the ferocious wind and flying sand, the water was relatively very calm because the wind was blowing from inland towards the water, not creating any waves. Well, I captured the mother of all calms.

Hope that you are still enjoying warm weather in the west. We had a gorgeous fall here so I don't feel that I have any right to complain about the colder season now.

Have a good weekend,

Haim

Haim, the dynamic range that you always manage to capture with your perfect exposure is a lesson for me to learn. Great job and a beautiful shot.

Nothing quite like it is there. I can't wait to dust off the winter gear and head north.

Beautiful shot lontano. It carries a lot of mood and the perspective leads the viewer's eyes into the shot. Really nice. Did you vinget in post processing then crop the image from the top?

Thanks Flame. No cropping - used Edge Effect PC Vignette 1 setting in Lightroom 3 which vignettes mainly at the bottom of the frame. Cheers

I honestly liked the old one better, I think. What exactly did u change? Increased saturation?

I took away some of the bluish tinge which I like in the background but did not like the unrealistic impact it had on the dark patches (blue) on the leaves in the foreground
