Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.
Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.
Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.
Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:
I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

Really nice picture Haim and evidence that a centralized horizon can be very beautiful if executed correctly

Superb Sandy!

A lovely White Egret photo Sandy.
These birds, once a rarity in the UK, have recently become quite common; and it's lovely to see them.

Thanks, and now i know what kind of bird it is!
The photo was taken a few weeks ago while on a Mexico vacation. Three of them would show up every morning to get scraps from the local fishermen cleaning their catch upstream on this little river.

Winky,
Much prefer yours with the hills and mountains. Around here we get excited over every miniscule dune.

Thanks, Haim. Mine was actually shot in Patagonia, not 'round here.

Great shot. From that angle it looks like the 50 year old technology it is. Amazing.

Can you imagine being the first test pilot? Strapping into the cockpit of this sucker and hitting the gas? Balls of steel.

Santas crew arrived last week to replace a very old utility pole and transformer by my apartment. The supervisor is on the pole on the right. One day he was standing way back and went to talk I thought it was exciting he said "I hope it's not too exciting"
I replied "well I don't want to see sparks".
"if this thing had come down in a storm it would have been the most exciting thing you ever saw."
Christmas has come early.

Notice the man on the left has rubber arm protectors.....
One afternoon from my 2nd floor view 2 men in a bucket were sliding between 3 wires getting in closer. Amazing feat of control with a joystick.
Last Friday after older inspectors, 2 men left to dig the base out. I went down with cokes for a break, the least I can do. Big smiles.
Next time you think you have a tough job,
think again.

Tell you what, I noticed today that the monitor makes a major difference to how you view these pictures. Noticed that the monitor I was using earlier made the pictures very dark compared to the one(s) I use at home. Gave quite a different perspective.
