Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.
Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.
Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.
Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:
I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

Cheers Julian. It was -17 about 2 hours beforehand and a rattled off a load of pics as the sun came up. The light (and the hoar frost) were fantastic.

Taken from the causway near my village this morning. Open water acts as a magnet to the birds.

Haim,
You could just have titled that shot "Cold" - the water just looks wickedly freezing and the sky very oppressing. I would definitely not want to slip off the pier!! Great photo (again!).

Needs the horizon levelling, but after doing that in Photoshop on my iPhone, I feel even colder! Brrrrrr.

My apologies for the askew horizon. All the shivers, fogged glasses and viewfinder as well as the dizziness I felt every time I was thinking of the hot bowl of chili awaiting me at home, prevented me of doing a good job of image alignment.
The footing was quite tricky since the whole sea wall was coated with ice underneath the fresh fallen snow. There was no one in sight there to pull me out of the water if I decided to take a dip.

Crikey, I think I'll let you off!!

Quick question. Can you direct link to a flickr hosted photo so it is displayed correctly on here? I haven't had any success so far.
