Nice Photos.

Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.

Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.

Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.

Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:

I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

Nice to be in the mountains, but weather and snow more like end of March.

Lovely pic Huwge. Makes me want to get some snowshoes out-I'm not a skier but we've had great fun walking in the snow in Raquettes.

Another pic from our big freeze

Thanks Bruce - I love the light at this time of year, looks mighty cold though. Can't remember being so warm skiing in January, normally south of zero but it's crazy weather at the moment. Not freezing overnight even, except up top - makes for very mixed snow. There seems to be even less snow than at the end of the season. Hope they get some big falls soon.

Bruce,
To my uneducated eye that's a lovely pic. Definite All Creatures Great and Small vibe there.

It rained abit yesterday. 1 hour later it was waist high - an hour after that it was chest high and running so fast it was impossible to navigate through without a rope. My in-laws house was flooded under 4 feet of water and guess who spent the day shovelling out all the mud?

Wow! Incredible. That photo reminds of when about 6 years ago I looked through a welder's glass (I'm not a real welder!) to watch Venus in front of the sun. A very strange experience indeed.

I had almost finished rebuilding this 1941 Royal Enfield Model "CO" 350 cc single, despatch motorcycle when I took this photo in 2001.

The eagle eyed may notice that there is no brake mechanism on the front! And though the back brake was strong it did little to slow the machine down. It would go sixty without difficulty!

ATB from George

PS: The black livery is the civilian "sell-off" scheme, where Enfield took the old army bikes back and re-sold them to the public at a time when they were banned from selling new machines to the British public, as all production was for export, because of the balance of trade crisis that occured immediately after the cessation of hostilities ...

Called "Pyramid in the snow."
