Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.
Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.
Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:
I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!
George
Taken in Australia.
You don't say? :-)
I like the purposeful look on the little 'roo's face!
Tony
Really excellent photograph. Apologies in advance, but try doing a crop just a 1/4 inch above the head (excluding the space above the plaque) and the whole composition takes on even more power IMO. I'm not a photographer but when scrolling down over your photograph it really popped when I coincidently looked at it in that manner.
Cheers
Here goes:

Tony
I like it. Really do. But then I would say that. You're the photographer, what do you think?
Regards
Well.....
This was my first use of black and white film in a very long time, and I was rushing a little, and still chimping!
Next time I go there for photography, probably in about seven or eight weeks time, I'll try and be in a better frame of mind, think about it more, and probably use a faster film.
I think I have the angles about right, but maybe a tiny bit of fill flash would be worth a try.
I'm open to suggestions, of course. Erm, why do you say that you "would say that"?
Tony
Tony,
Neither would I use a faster film, nor flash. Those picture have a timeless quality about them that makes them remarkable. IMO of course - you can try to be too clever and arty farty. Those photos, though monochrome, are not, again IMO.
ATB from George
Thanks George. It was quite liberating only having a camera body, one roll of film, and a 50mm lens, so maybe I'll leave it.
By the way, I've just realised that it's a statue of Newton. No puns about the penny dropping please.

Because I had suggested the crop.
I've seen many of your airplane and car pictures and now you're trying something different. Have some fun with it. You seem to have good eye.
Taken in Australia.
I lived in Australia for 35 years. I'd forgotten how big the rats get.
Very enigmatic pictures Tony
It's fun trying the 35mm again isn't it..?
I'm so lucky that my wife has her hair done every ten weeks or so in the centre of Cambridge, and it can take up to three hours. I might try a different college in April.
I've sent one of the images to Alamy. If it passes qc, I might really go for it. I do need to find the sweet spot for my nifty fifty though, as it really does lose lots of sharpness at f1.8 and smaller than f11. I'd never even noticed when I used it on my EOS 40!
TONY
Let me know next time you're going and we can look at meeting up and be a couple of filmies...
Tony
Another take on Cambridge
Tony
OK, my email is on the WNPS group so you should find me on there, if not let me know
Tony - sorry for the delay is responding....

She is a very good model, who I have now shot with 3 times - and I hope to again.

I fear my brain would turn to jelly. :S

Tony. It's a frog. Get over it.

You're probably right - it would explain a lot....
